Joseph Thomas Clark's Obituary

Joseph Thomas Clark, 79, of 320 Kenmore Road, Brandon, Florida passed away Wednesday, (September 16, 2009) at his residence.
Mr. Clark was born on November 5, 1929 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Wildridge Alexander and Rosa Mayberry (Wood) Clark.
Joe was an electrician with the Cargill Facility in Riverview, FL. He enjoyed his involvement with Sons of the Confederacy, collecting Model-T cars, fishing, hunting and was the Checkers Champion in the factory where he worked at the Cargill Facility. As a teenager, Mr. Clark helped to build sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Surviving are four daughters, Diane Schumacher of Bridgewater, Darlene K. Harrison and her husband David of Tampa, Fla., Donna S. Helm and her husband Bill of Luray, and Rosa M. Clark of Georgia; a son, Wayne Clark and his wife Becky of Shenandoah; two step-sons, Russell and Danny Crosby and a step-daughter Susie Crosby all of GA.; a brother, Willie J. Clark and his wife Toby Ann of Staunton; three sisters, Pauline Ward of Lake Monticello, Margie T. Zawhorodny of Swoope and Thelma F. Wiseman of Crimora; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (September 23, 2009) in the Clark Mountain Cemetery on the Blue Ridge Parkway, by the
Rev. Carter Dean.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, (September 22, 2009) from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
