Jonathan Russell Rusty Colvin, 39, of 560 Welltown Road, Winchester, and formerly of Craigsville, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Colvin was born on December 14, 1976 in Staunton, a son of John Samuel, Sammy Jr. and Cynthia Gale (Downey) Colvin.
Rusty was a member of Grace Downtown Church in Winchester. He was a self-employed contractor and was an accomplished artist and musician, having the ability to draw or play any music he wanted.
Mr. Colvin was preceded in death by two brothers, James Bradley Brad Colvin and John Robert Bobby Colvin.
In addition to his parents of Craigsville, he is survived by a son, Jackson James Colvin, mother of his son, Whitney Lasik both of Sterling; a sister, April L. Colvin of Craigsville; two nieces, Chelsea Karr and Makayla Weaver; and a nephew, James Weaver also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 in the Craigsville Memorial Cemetery by Rev. Olivia Haney. The family will receive friends following the service at the residence of his parents.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
