Johnnie Hunter Dedrick's Obituary

Johnnie Hunter Dedrick, 74, husband of Elizabeth Ann (Groah) Dedrick of 62 Forest Springs Drive passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Dedrick was born on August 3, 1940 in Sherando, a son of the late Roy Elwood and Eula Mae (Lloyd) Dedrick.
Mr. Dedrick was a lifetime resident of the Sherando and Stuarts Draft areas. He was owner of Dedrick Masonry as a brick mason, also working with stone. He was a member of the Mountain View Mennonite Church and was a Lone Boy Scout Advisor for the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Dedrick was instrumental in helping his grandsons, William and Benjiman Krassoi achieve their Eagle Scout Awards, he enjoyed working in his yard doing landscaping, and driving his old blue truck.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dedrick was preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Hunter Dedrick, II.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-seven years, are two daughters, Deborah Ann Orsak and her husband James of Rodchester, WA and Dana L. Krassoi and her husband William of Greenville; a brother, Freddie H. Dedrick and his wife Ruthie of Sherando; his right-hand man Bradley Krassoi, one of ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews, also survive.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 in Greenville Baptist Church by Pastor Jamie McClanahan.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
