John Henry Siron, 92, widower of Esta Magdalene (Kincaid) Siron of Staunton, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Siron was born on June 18, 1929, in McDowell, Virginia a son of the late Rodney and Eva (Puffenbarger) Siron.
Mr. Siron attended Living Grace in Waynesboro and was retired from DuPont with over thirty-seven years of service. Mr. Siron also drove part-time for Quicks for nearly forty years. John enjoyed spending time in his garden and loved sharing with all, working in his shop on small engines, and fellowshipping with his Cracker Barrel buddies on Sundays.
In addition to his wife of sixty-five years, Mr. Siron was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Siron and Boyd Siron; a sister, Nina Smith; two sons-in-law, Bobby Linkous and Jimmy Alphin; and a daughter-in-law, Willa (Good) Siron.
Mr. Siron is survived by a son, Eddie Siron of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Susan S. Linkous of North Chesterfield and Sharon S. Alphin of Stuarts Draft; a brother, Glen Siron of Fishersville; a sister, Violet Cox and her husband Ron of Bridgewater; three grandchildren, Chris Linkous and his wife Susan, Jeffrey Linkous, and April Corbin and her husband Billy; two great-granddaughters Jessica Dimitt and her husband Ricky and Allison Burch and her husband Colby; three great-great grandchildren, Easton, Ella, and Emilia; and a number of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021, in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory or other times at the residence of his daughter Sharon, 215 Forest Drive, Stuarts Draft, Virginia.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Randall Black.
A burial service will follow at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Rd, Waynesboro, Virginia.
Active pallbearers will be Timmy Alphin, Aaron Bean, Tommy Desper, Mike Kincaid, Craig Smith, and Carl Vandevander.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Davis, Don Dinkle, Berkeley Harner, and Richard Kirkland.
The family would like to thank Mr. Siron\u0027s neighbors, for all of the support, assistance, and kindness that has been provided to him for so many years.
