John Andrew "Johnny" Campbell, 80, husband of Thelma Jean (Collins) Campbell of 1690 Little River Road, Goshen passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his residence.
Mr. Campbell was born in Augusta County, Virginia on December 8, 1940, a son of the late John Brooks and Martha Mae (Martin) Campbell.
Johnny was a charter member of Joyful Sound Church and in 2002, he retired from VDOT with twenty-four years of service on the bridge crew. He was a Boy Scout Leader Troop #116 in Craigsville for thirteen years, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and doing word search puzzles.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by three sisters, Luvenia "Tennie" Stokes, Mamie Mae Melton, and Sylvia Jean Sprouse.
Mr. Campbell was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty years, is a special niece, Kay Youngman of Goshen; a nephew, Larry Melton and his wife Jennifer of Millboro; and a sister-in-law, Barbara McDorman of Staunton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Michael "Mike" Herring.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
