November 8, 1932 – February 22, 2022
John Franklin Cash, 89, husband of Juanita Maria (Mayo) Cash, of Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Cash was born in Nelson County, Virginia on November 8, 1932, a son of the late Cyrus Gordon Cash and Judy Frances (Campbell) Cash.
John retired from Klotz Brothers and Staunton Metal Recyclers as a crane operator. He enjoyed playing his banjo and guitar, gardening and farming.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cash was preceded in death by five brothers, Grant "Dutch" Cash, Hersey Cash, James Roy Cash, Lester Cash and Ray Cash and three sisters, Flossie Hite, Lucy Cash and Mary Cash.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 61 years, is a son, Tony Anthony Cash and his wife, Crystal of Raphine; a daughter, Teresa (Cash) Bodnar of Waynesboro; a sister, Frances Cash of Montibello; and four grandchildren, Connor Doman, Logan Bodnar, Rebekah Cash and Bethany Cash.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Chris Guyer.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
