Obituary

John Doland Jack Crothers, 75, of Spring Lakes, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Crothers was born on August 6, 1941, a son of the late John Andrew and Bunny Crothers.
John was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a 1964 graduate of Florida State University and completed his Masters degree at University of Virginia and George Mason University. Jack retired from Fairfax County Schools as an elementary school teacher. While living in Northern Virginia he was an active Big Brother and was a ten year usher at Wolf Trap Farm Park in Vienna, Virginia.
Surviving is his best friend and companion of 36 years, Paul H. Judd.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 in the Trinity Episcopal Church by Rev. Dr. Paul S. Nancarrow.
A Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 in Fairfax Memorial Park.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Florida State Alumni Association, 1030 West Tennessee Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32304-7719.
