John Austin Clear's Obituary
John Austin Clear, 73, husband of Bonnie Lou (Head) Clear of 121 Triple Ridge Drive, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in the Hospice House in Fishersville.
Mr. Clear was born on February 26, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Thora (Hagloff) Clear.
John was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Broadway. Mr. Clear was retired as an office agent with the Smithsonian Institute, he enjoyed researching on computers, playing the piano and boating.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Clear was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Sams and Mary Clear; six brothers, Robert, Joseph, Herman, James, David and William Clear.
Surviving in addition to his wife of six years, is a daughter, Debra Krebs and her husband Todd of Manassas; a step-son, Mark L. Hedrick of Elkton; a step-daughter, Tanya Shea of Timberville; three sisters, Karen Greiner of New Brighton, PA and Lula Pittman of Maugansville, MD and Ida Mae Bird of Lakeland, FL; and five grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Augusta Health Foundation Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 1000, Fishersville VA 22939.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
