John Sam Bradley, Jr., 65, of 1593 Stuarts Draft Highway, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Bradley was born on December 31, 1950 in Augusta County, a son of John Sam, Sr. and Hilda (Humphries) Bradley.
Sam was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Paul Obaugh Ford and previously worked for Ray Carr Tires for over 23 years. Sam enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on old cars and trucks and collecting vintage diecast models.
Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald Neal and a brother-in-law, Ray Randlett.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Greenville, is a son, Sammy J. Bradley and his wife Natasha of Fishersville; a daughter, Melissa (Bradley) Neal and her fianc, Gary Beebe, Sr. of Staunton; two brothers, James W. Jimmy Humphries and his wife Faye of Stuarts Draft and Neil E. Bradley and his wife Pam of Hampton; a sister, Linda S. Randlett of Stuarts Draft; fiance, Joy Davis of Stuarts Draft; five grandchildren, Matthew Bradley, Christopher Neal, Emily Moats, Nicholas Sparks and Olivia Bradley; extended family, Cherrie Davis, Monica Sheffer and Melanie Sheffer; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Dennis Bradley.
Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery in Steeles Tavern.
Active pallbearers will be Mark Kelley, Gary Allen, Dale Phillips, Jamie Humphries, Robbie Oscar, Brad Miller, Chuck Wiseman and Michael Wiseman.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 5 Henry Bacon Drive, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20002.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
