Jimmy Dean "JD" Wooldridge, Sr., 67, husband of Barbara L. Wooldridge, of Staunton, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mr. Wooldridge was born in Roanoke, Virginia on August 19, 1957, a son of the late George William Wooldridge and Phyllis Irene (Vaden) Wooldridge.

JD was employed as manager of Waffle House for 35 years, until his retirement in 2019. He then worked for Goodwill of the Valley for 4 years before his cancer diagnosis. JD loved his children, grandchildren, and his beloved wife, who was by his side until the end. "If it wasn't for her, I would not have made it as far as I did. Do not take life for granted because one day it will be gone"

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wooldridge was preceded in death by two brothers, George William Wooldridge and Marshall William Wooldridge.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are six children, Hunter Wooldridge of Erie, VA, Johnathan Wooldridge of Rural Retreat, VA, Jacob Wooldridge of Cookeville, TN, Holly Wooldridge of Murfreesboro, TN, Jimmy Dean Wooldridge, Jr. and his wife, Brittany of Lebanon, TN, and Adrian Wooldridge of CA; two step-sons, B.J. Ingram and Brad Ingram, both of Staunton; two brothers, Ronnie Wooldridge of Roanoke and Donnie Fore of Salem; a sister, Diane Hood of Salem; many grandchildren; and his best friend, Ron Thacker of Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
