Jesse Willard Yount, Jr., 72, husband of Bonnie L. Yount of 1208 Stuarts Draft Highway passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Yount was born November 16, 1942 in Augusta County, a son of the late Jesse Willard, Sr. and Bertha (Fisher) Yount.
Jesse attended Good News Ministries, and was owner/operator of Yount Plumbing and Heating for over thirty-five years. Mr. Yount enjoyed and loved his family, hunting, fishing, NASCAR and was an avid Dale Earnhart, Sr. fan.
Mr. Yount loved God and enjoyed singing for the Lord.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Yount was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Houghtaling and Patsy Polly.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-one years, is a daughter, Candy S. Brooks and her husband Jim of Greenville; three half-brothers, Joe Eavey, Eddie Yount and Jerry Yount all of Waynesboro; three half-sisters, Edna Stinnett of Stuarts Draft, Nancy Baber of Waynesboro and Bonnie Dean of Stuarts Draft; two grandchildren, Megan Byers and Jesica Phillips; three great-grandchildren, McKayla Byers, Mariah Byers and Oaklyn Phillips; special cousin and friend, Donnie Comer; and his pets, Molly, Abby and Mittens.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in the Good News Ministries Church by Pastors Gregory Miller and Dennis Bradley.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Burial will be private.
