Jesse Richard "Dick" Delahay, 81, widower of Mary (Quick) Delahay, of Micah Court, Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Delahay was born in Miami, Florida on June 13, 1941, the son of the late John Delahay and Beatrice (Tull) Tanbusch.

Dick was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Wyeth Laboratories as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. Mr. Delahay was a member of the Staunton Elks Lodge 351, the VFW Post 2216 and was a volunteer at the American Frontier Culture Museum. He grew up in Sparrows Point, Maryland and was a 1959 graduate, where he was a proud member of the "Sparrows Point Boys".

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Delahay was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Miller.

Surviving, is a son, Richard Delahay and his wife Tina of Staunton; a daughter, Annette Delahay Williams of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Aaron Cole Williams and his wife Caroline, Brittany Lyons and her husband Ian, Meredith Richards, and Benjamin Delahay; a great-granddaughter, Delainey Lyons; and his companion, Margaret Schwartz of Staunton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Stacey Burkholder.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Casual attire is encouraged by the family.
