Jerry Thomas Nuckols, Sr., 58, husband of Victoria (Hennessy) Nuckols went to be with the Lord suddenly on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, from complications after cancer surgery.
Mr. Nuckols was born on April 3, 1958 in Staunton, Virginia, a son of the late Owen Clifton and Dorothy Lee (Smith) Nuckols.
Jerry was an award winning operating partner of (CPI) Dominos in Staunton for 16 years. He was a source of strength for his children who valued his wisdom and integrity. Jerry was an avid surf and deep sea fisherman. He loved the ocean, especially the Outer Banks.
In addition to his wife of seven years, he is survived by his siblings, Eddie Nuckols (Belinda) of Mocksville, NC, Patsy Miller (Jimmy), and Kathy Harper (Nate). He is also survived by his children, Amy Lessley (Sam), Stacey Nuckols, Natalie Ballew (Ryan), Nichole Dunham (Dale) of Alta Vista, and Jerry Nuckols, Jr. (Summer) of Roanoke. In addition to this list, he holds dear a large number of grand-children, step-children, step-grandchildren, and an extensive Dominos family.
A Memorial Celebration of Jerrys life will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in St. Pauls United Methodist Church by Pastor Robert Hampshire. Please feel free to wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt and fishing hat/ballcap to celebrate Jerrys love of the ocean.
