Jerry Lee Jackson, 71, husband of Jo Ann (Griffin) Jackson of 803 Hall Street of Staunton passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Jackson was born in Staunton, on January 4, 1951, the son of the late Fred Marvin Jackson and Helen June (Varner) Jackson McLear.
Mr. Jackson retired from Rowe's Family Restaurant. He enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, and dumpster diving.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Shawn Jackson; a sister, Brenda Napier; and two brothers-in-law, Durwood Griffin and J.W. Painter.
In addition to his wife of forty-six years, he is survived by a son, Tame L. Jackson and his wife, Valerie of Stuarts Draft; a grandson, Ethen Jackson; a sister, Debbie McGann and her husband, Randy of Stuarts Draft; mother-in-law, Janet McNeill of Norfolk; sister-in-law, Hazel Partin and her husband, Harold of Norfolk; step-sister, Melissa Stacey and her husband, Allen of Steeles Tavern; and three special friends, Vicky Stone, Mike Stone, and Billy Stone; and his two fur babies, Jo Mo and Peanut.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend William "Bill" Trice.
The family will receive friends following the service.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
