Jerry Eugene Elkins's Obituary
Jerry Eugene Elkins, 67, of Staunton passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Elkins was born November 28, 1944 in Staunton, a son of the late Charlie Eugene Elkins and Earline (McManaway) Elkins.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Churchville are two sons, Eric Elkins and his wife Tracy of Staunton and David Scott Elkins and his wife Belaynesh Derbew of Bluffton, SC; two grandchildren, Elainah G. Elkins and Lealani D. Elkins; four brothers, Ronnie R. Elkins, Danny B. Elkins, Robert S. Elkins all of Churchville and Douglas C. Elkins of Staunton; a sister Marie L. Elkins of Swoope; a number of nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Pete Leddy.
There will be no public viewing.
It is suggested those desiring to make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 42 Neff Avenue, Suite 210, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
