Shelby Jean Allen Hall, 83, widow of Lester W. "Buzz" Hall, Jr., of Stuarts Draft, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2023, surrounded by her family at Augusta Health in Fishersville

Ms. Hall was born on October 25, 1939 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Cecil "Chick" Allen and Lillian (Woody) Spitler.

Jean never met a stranger and had many friends. She was a spit-fire with a fun loving personality. Jean loved her family and enjoyed thrift store shopping and watching UVA sports. She loved horses and her cats and will be missed by all who knew her, especially her childhood friends, whom she still kept in touch with.

Surviving, is a daughter, Jennifer Hall Brown and her husband, Mark; a son, Rick Hall and his wife, Katherine; grandchildren, Brandon Shiflet and his wife, Jessi, Kaylyn Close and her husband, Scott, Alexandra Hall and Katherine Parker; great-grandchildren, Stella and Lettie Shiflet, Kyndall and Christopher Close, Eleanor and Poppy Faas; and a step-father, Curtis Spitler.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
