Jazzabelle Amina Jessen passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Jazzabelle was born on August 6, 2022, the daughter of Damian Jessen and Summer Shifflett.

Miss Jessen was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Fred; an adopted great-grandmother, Debbie; two great-great grandmothers, Bessie and Ellen; and an uncle, James.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, Sophia and Jamesetta; grandparents, Amanda and Ronnie, and Tina and Dennis; great-grandparents, Gloria and George, and Doris and Johnny; aunts and uncles, Marisa and Colby, Paris, Brandon, Hunter, Autumn, Makayla, Masen, Megan, Lee, and other aunts and uncles; and great-aunts and great-uncles, Ashley, Brandon, Crystal, Amy, Mikey and Timmy.

The family would like to express a special "Thank you" to the staff of the University of Virginia Medical Center NICU, and Dr. Becker at Augusta Health Care for Women, for their care and compassion.
