Jaunita Joy Masincup, 38, of Staunton, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Ms. Masincup was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on March 6, 1984, a daughter of Thomas Oren Masincup and Joanna Lynn (Rexrode) Masincup.

Joy loved listening to music and singing. She was an athlete in multiple sports with Virginia Area 5 Special Olympics and enjoyed watching WWE, collecting memorabilia, and meeting her favorite wrestlers. Joy liked spending time playing cards with her family, playing dominoes with Gram, riding four wheelers and visiting Disney Parks in Florida.

Ms. Masincup was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Oren and Eleanor Masincup and her great-grandparents, Manuel and Anna Racca.

In addition to her parents, Joy is survived by a brother, Andrew (Ashley); a sister, Tara Brown (Wyatt); maternal grandparents, Charles and Jaunita Rexrode; nieces and nephews, Jossy, Landon, Oren, Bryre, Kymber, Tristan and Grayson; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
