Jason Lewis Shirey, 38, of 7342 Sunnybrook Drive, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Shirey was born on December 30, 1977 in Staunton, a son of Paul Clark Shirey, Jr. and Elizabeth (Rouzie) Wade.
Jason attended Robert E. Lee High School, was a graduate of Massanutten Military Academy and attended Christopher Newport University for two years. Jason was employed by Barton and Malow as a construction worker. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, an animal lover, great cook and in his younger years, he was a Civil War Reenactor.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Roanoke and father of Staunton, Jason is survived by his step-mother, Sylvia T. Shirey of Staunton; two brothers, his twin, Jared Shirey of Roanoke and Eric Royer of Waynesboro; four sisters, Robyn Drewry of Roanoke, Pamela Shirey and Kimberly Price both of Lynchburg and Sherry Hite of Staunton; special niece, Kerrigan Drewry and nephew, Neil Drewry and many close friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Bill Trice.
