Janet Marie (Stuples) Campbell, 75, wife of Winston Dale Campbell, of Craigsville, passed away on November 10, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Campbell was born in Staunton, Virginia on April 18, 1949, daughter of the late Marvin Vishop Stuples, Sr. and Dorothy Jane (Jackson) Stuples.
Janet retired from Hershey's after 30 years of dedicated service and was a member of Little River Church of the Brethren. She cherished her role as a homemaker, finding joy in caring for her flower gardens and preparing meals. Above all, Mrs. Campbell was a loving grandmother, deeply devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Vishop Stuples, Jr. and Nelson Stuples.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 59 years, is a daughter, Sandra Marie Campbell of Stuarts Draft; two grandsons, Derek W. Alford and his wife, Renea and Tucker W. Craig; a special nephew whom she considered a son, Barry Campbell; three great-grandchildren, Harper Marie Alford, Elijah Clayton Craig, and Winston Michael Alford; a brother, Wayne Stuples and his wife, Myra of Kerrs Creek; a sister, Brenda G. Stuples of Craigsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Little River Church of the Brethren by Rev. Pam Campbell.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Danny Smiley, David Smiley, Ron Sprouse, Willie Ruleman, Johnny Coffman, and Donald Vest.
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to Little River Church of the Brethren Cemetery, c/o Winston Campbell, 134 Sprouse Hollow Lane, Craigsville, VA 24430.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
