James Clarke Templeman, 83, husband of Earlene (Bacon) Templeman of 15 Chowning Circle died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Avante at Waynesboro after a long and brave battle with Parkinsons.
Mr. Templeman was born on January 14, 1935 in Harrisonburg, the son of the late Raymond and Clara (Painter) Templeman.
James was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro. He was a thirty year veteran of the United States Naval Reserves and earned his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Virginia.
In addition to his wife of 61 years, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Templeman, II and his wife Didi of Richmond; a daughter and son-in-law; Tracy Dunlap and her husband Frank of Swoope; four grandchildren, James Trip Templeman, III, Claire Templeman, Samuel Dunlap and Joseph Dunlap; a sister, Martha Floyd of Penn Laird and three nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the First Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro by Rev. George W. Chapman, III.
A reception will follow the service in the churchs Barksdale Room.
