James Norwood Roberts, Jr., 74, widower of Carolyn (McCormick) Roberts of Townhouse Lane passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Roberts was born February 29, 1940 in Augusta County, a son of the late Verna (Wimer) and James Norwood Roberts, Sr.
James retired March 1, 1995 from Columbia Gas where he worked for 28 years as an installer and was an antique dealer in the Valley Antique Mall.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by a son, James Edward Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving is an aunt, Jean (Wimer) Anderson of Staunton; an uncle, Earl Boyd Wimer of Lakewood, CO; and a number of cousins.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 in Augusta Memorial Park by the Reverend Richard Peters.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
