James Elmer Pee Wee Knisley, Jr., 71, husband of Kitty (Hupman) Knisley of 2406 Third Street, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015, in the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Mr. Knisley was born on December 17, 1943, in Staunton, a son of the late James Elmer, Sr. and Hazel (Bosserman) Knisley.
James retired from Sherrills Painting and Contracting in Charlottesville as a painter. He was a member of the Staunton Eagles 680 and of the Moose Lodge 1635. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, and softball.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Knisley is survived by a son, Jamie; two daughters, Amber and Diane; a step-son, Wayne; a brother Bruce and his wife Barbara; his pet dog, Buster numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
The family will receive friends from noon to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, at his residence.
At Mr. Knisleys request, his body will be cremated and there will be no services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
