James Franklin Jones, 61, of Staunton, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Jones was born in Staunton on February 15, 1962, son of the late Lester Anderson and Nancy Lee Jones-Peyton.

James proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was kind and friendly and was a long-haul truck driver for twenty-years until sickness forced him to retire. James fought a long and courageous battle and will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving is his sister, Reba M. Jones and a nephew, Steve Robinson.

There will be no public services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
