Obituary

James Arthur Jim Crump, III, 62, husband of Brenda Jean (Armstrong) Crump, of 143 Community Lane, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Crump was born on December 17, 1953 in Star Lake, New York, a son of James Arthur Crump, Sr. and the late Mary (Hoyt) Crump.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, and he retired after 40 years as a welder within the construction industry. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the wildlife.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Crump, Jr.; a sister, Linda Crump; and a step-son, Jody Wheeler.
Surviving in addition to his wife and father of Missouri, are two step-daughters, Jetanna Morris and her husband Tim of Staunton and Jamie Diehl of Swoope; and five grandchildren, Alisha, Alexis, Tyler, Taylor, and Levi; a sister, Bonnie Pontellato of Missouri; and his special side kick, Missy.
A Memorial service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Robert Via.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the residence.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 420 Neff Avenue, Suite 210, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
