James Wallace Gill, 84, widower of Frances L. (Pierog) Gill of Woodlee Road and formerly of St. Louis, MO passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Gill was born on October 1, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Wallace and Jean (Carter) Gill.
James was employed by Sigma-Aldrich Chemical Company as a Bio-Chemist. He received his Bachelors Degree from the Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and his PhD at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Mr. Gill was an avid Bonsai enthusiast.
Surviving are four sons: Jeffrey S. Gill of Fulton, Missouri, Glendon K. Gill of Staunton; Jonathan A. Gill of Seattle, Washington and Kevin M. Gill of Fulton, Missouri. Four grandchildren, Richard S. Gill, Christopher J. Gill, Halle E. Gill and Christian M. Gill and a special friend, Helen Homiak also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Chapel at Baldwin Park.
