STAUNTON

James Lamar Mr. Pibbs Fields 30, of 614 Baptist Street passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on August 29, 1980 in Staunton, a son of Glenda R. Fields of Staunton and Thomas E. Venable of Harrisonburg.
James attended Beverley Manor Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music, playing games and talking on the telephone. James was a people person with many friends.
Mr. Fields was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Arnetta (Fields) Fitch and maternal grandfather, James Clark.
In addition to his parents, James is survived by his step-father, Kenneth L. Frye, Jr. of Staunton; three brothers, Eric L. Fields, Derrick L. Fields and Markeise Fields all of Staunton; maternal step-grandfather, Thomas R. Fitch of Staunton; maternal step-grandmother, Elosise Clark of Waynesboro; three aunts, Serena L. Fitch, Ericka M.Fields and Java Clark; five uncles, James Clark, Jr., Jermaine Clark, Clemmie Venable, Billy Venable and Micheal Venable; a niece, Lazayreah Fields; a nephew, Braylen Fields; cousins, Chandel Fitch, Justin Clark, Jawan Clark, Joycely Clark, and Jacki Clark, also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 in
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory by Pastor Elaine Rose.
The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive is in charge of his arrangements.
