James W. Chisley, Sr.

STAUNTON:

James Wesley Mann Chisley, Sr., 54, husband of Sheila Chisley of 835 Ellen Street passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 in the Harrisonburg DaVita Dialysis Center.
Mr. Chisley was born February 12, 1958 in Bowie, MD, a son of Diane D. Chisley of Phoenix, AZ and the late James Wesley Ross.
James was employed with Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation in the Maintenance Department. His hobbies included bowling, horseshoes, fishing, auto drag racing and traveling. James was known to all as a comedian.
In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Chisley and two sisters, Donna P. Chisley and Sylvia M. Dodson.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are two sons,
James W. Chisley, Jr. and his fiance, Jennifer Strickler and Javon R. Chisley all of Staunton; four daughters, LaToya S. Chisley and her fianc, Melvin Venable, II, Chantay D. Johnson and friend, Eric Fields, Sharron A. Chisley and friend, Jerome Wright and Shameka K. Chisley all of Staunton; ten grandchildren, Jayquion Fitzgerald, Jaymond Venable Chisley, Sheriz Chisley Strickler, SigNira Chisley Strickler, Jaycorian Chisley, Sydelle Chisley Strickler, Lazayreah Fields, Braylen Fields, Nevaehia Taylor and SahMyra Chisley Sherman; ten brothers, Don, Earl, Anthony, Shawn, Nikki, Darryl, Timothy, Darvin and Ringo; four sisters, Vickie, Helen, Janetta and Niecey also survives.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Mercedies Harris.
Burial will follow at Thornrose Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be James Chisley, Jr., Javon Chisley, Eric Fields, Jason Johnson, Jahi Golden Johnson and Brian Deese Baker.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the
residence.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made the Sheila Chisley, 835 Ellen Street, Staunton, VA 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
