James Allen Jimmy Bolden, 70, widower of Helen Virginia (Knight) Bolden, of Creekside Drive, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Bolden was born May 7, 1944 in Winchester, a son of the late James Aubrey and Alice Marie (Simmons) Bolden.
Jimmy was employed by Stuart M. Perry as a truck driver and equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Bolden was a friend to many, always helping others by mowing yards and working on their automobiles.
Mr. Bolden was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Bolden is survived by a daughter, Jamie B. Vessels and husband Jesse of Lyndhurst a son, James W. Bolden of Cresap Town, MD;; three step daughters, Bonnie Shearer of Staunton, Billie Jo Shearer and Julie Via, both of Fishersville; five grandchildren, Rhea Vessels, Myla Vessels, Josie Douglas, Justin Bolden, and Jacob Bolden; and a great granddaughter, Mya Douglas.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John Ward.
The family will receive friends following the service, and other times at his daughters residence, 1710 Mount Torrey Road, Lyndhurst.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to a charity of ones choice.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
