James Alan Lewis Jamie Wheeler, 23, of 678 Mt Tabor Road, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 in Augusta Health from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Jamie was born on October 7, 1992 in Charlottesville, Virginia the son of Jimmy Alan and Rachel (Campbell) Wheeler.
As a youngster, Jamie attended Joyful Sound Church and he was an active member of the Swoope Volunteer Fire Department. Jamie was Assistant Manager in the Recon Shop at Charlie Obaugh where he enjoyed working on and reconditioning automobiles, which was also a favorite hobby.
Jamie was an intellectual and he enjoyed researching information on the web.
Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mr. Lewis Campbell, Sr and nephew, Aden Scott Wheeler.
In addition to his parents, Jamie is survived by his sister, Dawn Renee Wheeler; a niece, Aubrey D. Wheeler and paternal grandmother, Mary Long all of Staunton; maternal grandmother, Lillie Campbell of York, S.C. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times the residence.
A Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Michael Herring.
Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
