Ivan Leon Smallwood's Obituary
Ivan Leon Smallwood, 73 of Montgomery Ave, Staunton passed away Saturday, December 5, 2012 in Avante at Waynesboro.
Mr. Smallwood was born October 9, 1939 in Waynesboro, a son of the late Charles Richard and Ethel (Knicely) Smallwood.
Leon was a member of the Middle River Church of the Brethren. He was a retired electrician with WG Dudley Electrical and was a true horseman who loved and enjoyed horses.
In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Ivan Leon Smallwood, Jr. of Staunton and Billy Smallwood of GA; a daughter, Susie Smallwood of GA; a brother, Mervin L. Smallwood and his wife Betty Jean of Crimora and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Middle River Church of the Brethren Cemetery by Pastor Corey Smallwood.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
