Ivan Nathaniel Marshall, 83, husband of Mareta (Hammer) Marshall of 225 McBrydge Drive passed away Friday, February 1, 2013, at the home of his daughter.
Mr. Marshall was born February 27, 1929, in Augusta County, son of the late William Henry Marshall and Ethel Pearl (Morris) Marshall Lawson.
Ivan was a member of Victory Worship Center, a veteran of the US Army and owner of Marshall Construction from which he retired. He enjoyed traveling, eating out, racing and time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Kaleb Bosserman and Holly Newlen; seven sisters, Inez Diehl, Yvonne Shock, Geraldine Ralls, Arbutus Morris, Genevieve Marshall, Earl Loman, and Gladys Via; and four brothers, Jackie Marshall, Eldridge Marshall, Delmar Marshall, and Sylvester Marshall; and his step-father, Joe Lawson.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 65 years is a daughter, Faye M. Bosserman and her husband Jerry; a son, Darrell K. Marshall and his wife Traci all of Swoope; a brother, Jimmie E. Marshall of Harriston; five grandchildren, Tony Bosserman, Julie Coyner and her husband Brian, Brian, Brett and Brooke Marshall; five great-grandchildren, Hannah and Abigail Bosserman, Nathan Newlen and his wife Alicia, Jeremy Newlen, Dylan Coyner, and Izabelle; and one great-great-grandchild, Bryleigh Newlen.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Victory Worship Center by Pastor Ray Eppard.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, February 4, 2013, at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Jerry Bosserman, 72 Ruger Lane in Swoope.
Active pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
