Obituary

Ida Alleta (Hott) Jarvis, 82, wife of Raymond William Jarvis of 3722 Middlebrook Village Road, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Jarvis was born on June 11, 1936 in Pendleton County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Thurman Blake and Belva (Bowers) Hott.
Alleta was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church, she retired from Genesco-L-Grief Company with twenty-three years of employment as a seamstress, and a volunteer with the Middlebrook Fire Department. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, sewing and crocheting.
Mrs. Jarvis loved her family and had a special unconditional love for her husband as well as her granddaughter, grandson-in-law and great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jarvis was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Renae Puffenbarger.
Surviving in addition to her husband of sixty years, is a granddaughter, Ashley Renae Carroll and her husband Mark; a great-granddaughter, Madison Laine Carroll all of Middlebrook; a brother, William Lynn Hott and his wife Lisa of Middlebrook; two sisters, Helen Jarvis and her husband Junior of Middlebrook and Twila Decker and her husband Fred of Staunton; an uncle, Sheldon Bowers and his wife Joan of Mint Spring; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence of her granddaughter, Ashley Carroll and her husband Mark,
146 Mish Barn Road, Middlebrook.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church by Rev. George Taylor.
Burial will follow in the Immanuel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Dale Grimm, David Grimm, Danny Grimm, Jeff Tuennermann, Jerry Jarvis, Todd Jarvis, Charlie Oliver, and John Mader, Jr.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Immanuel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, C/O Brenda Nuckoles, 4551 Walkers Creek Road, Middlebrook, Virginia 24459.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
