Hugh David Snyder, Jr.'s Obituary
Hugh David Snyder, Jr., 85, widower of Jerry (Wamsley) Snyder of 121 Robinhood Road, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Snyder was born on June 18, 1931 in Staunton, a son of the late Hugh David, Sr. and Wilma (Buckley) Snyder.
Hugh attended the Staunton Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was a proud United States Marine and a life member of the VFW Post 2216. Mr. Snyder was the previous owner of Rosco Arms Company and he enjoyed reading and caring for his pet cat, Ms. Kitty.
Mr. Snyder was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving is a daughter, Debra Kay (Snyder) Leon and her husband of Stephen of Staunton; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Brook Weeks; and two great-grandchildren, Landon Michael Weeks and Clara Faith Weeks.
A private graveside service was held in Augusta Memorial Park.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
