Hubert Whisman, Jr., 92, of Staunton, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Whisman was born in West Virginia on July 7, 1932, a son of the late Hubert Whisman, Sr. and Virgie Lee (Chandler) Whisman.

Hubert retired as a truck driver from Houff Transfer, Inc. and enjoyed fishing, cars, and local dirt-track racing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Whisman was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Chandler; and two grandchildren, Sarah Renee Moore and Amber Renee Moore.

Surviving, are three sons, Robert Whisman, Michael Whisman, and Rodger L. Whisman; three daughters, Barbara W. Bartley, Patricia Ann Smith, and Donna Marie Moore; nineteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no public services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
