Homer E. Huff, Jr.
STAUNTON:
Homer Eugene Jake Huff, Jr., 63, of 937 Baylor Street passed away, Sunday, May 12, 2013 in the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Medical Center in Richmond.
Mr. Huff was born in Staunton, on May 16, 1949, a son of the late Homer Eugene Huff, Sr. and Emma Bernice Snyder.
Jake was a member of Community Fellowship Church. He was owner and operator of the Verona Supply and Service Company, servicing and installation of garage doors. Mr. Huff was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a people person, loved helping others, a good hearted and generous man who loved God.
In addition to Mr. Huffs parents, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Barbara Colburn.
Survivors include a son, Greg L. Huff and a daughter, Sunnye Kay Miller, both of Staunton; a brother, Si Douglas Huff and his wife Diane of Staunton; a sister, Wanda Rowe and her husband George of Newport; a granddaughter, Kendyl Renee Miller; a step-brother, Kenny Skillman of Staunton; an uncle, Charles Huff of McGaheysville; an aunt, Mary Lou Burtner of Staunton and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Pleasant View Cemetery by Pastor John Morrison.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to Community Fellowship Church, 19 South Market Street, Staunton VA 24401.
