Herman Robert Snookie Brown, Sr., 72, husband of Donna Rae (Snyder) Brown of Staunton, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Brown was born on October 16, 1945 in Welch, West Virginia a son of the late Solomon Buster and Mildred Elizabeth (Humphries) Brown.

Herman was a service tech for R.A.H.E. Inc. for more than 30 years. He was an avid hunter, a handyman who could fix anything, and he enjoyed restoring antique cars with his son. His most treasured joy in life was being a loving father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, and a son-in-law, Russell Mountcastle.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 50 years, is a son, Herman R. Brown, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Waynesboro; a daughter, Debra Mountcastle of Salem; a sister, Doris Patton of Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Kelsey Elaine Brown and Zachary Thomas Brown also survive.

A Memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Warren Brown.
