Helen Gregory Morganthal, 84, widow of Andrew D. Morganthal of Staunton, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Helen was born in Augusta County on June 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Harry A. and Margaret Wallace (Miller) Gregory.

She enjoyed the beach, camping and flowers. Most important to her was her children and her family and the time she spent with them.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two children, James Johnson and Pauline Newlen Painter and several brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Surviving, are her children, Kathy Orebaugh, Anthony Newlen, Dennis Newlen, and Susie Morganthal; and numerous grandchildren and other family members.

A Private Graveside Service will be held in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is handling her arrangements.
