Obituary

Helen Virginia (Hart) Wise, 72, wife of Robert T. Wise, of Fort Defiance, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at home with her family.

Mrs. Wise was born on April 10, 1945 in Marion, Virginia, a daughter of the late Ambrose Glen and Ruby (Hubble) Hart.

Helen was an active member of Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, member of the HOPE circle, treasurer of the cemetery committee, chairwoman of the Fellowship Committee and member of the Shendun Garden Club. Mrs. Wise enjoyed helping family and friends endlessly, and she will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Bales.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 52 years, are her children, Susan Wise Whittle and her husband Ran, of Oakton, VA, Dr. Barbara Wise and her husband Dr. Brian Krakover, of Fayetteville, NC and Marcus T. Wise and his wife Annie, of Ft. Defiance; a sister, Glenna Cleveland and her husband James of Nellysford; five grandchildren, Tyler R. Whittle, Jacob H. Krakover, Grant N. Krakover, Max A. Krakover and Audrey M. Wise.

A private family Graveside service will be conducted in Edgewood Cemetery at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church.
