Hazel B. Propst
VERONA:
Hazel Marie (Bridges) Propst, 66, wife of James Larry Propst of 57 Jefferson Street passed away, Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Propst was born May19, 1945 in Talladega, AL, a daughter of the late Raymond William and Hazel (Kesterson) Bridges.
Hazel was a 1964 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and prior to her employment of eighteen years with Central Tire in Verona as a bookkeeper she was employed at Smiths Transfer for twenty-three years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a special Aunt, Kathryn (Kesterson) Rimel and her step-mother, Inez (Rowe) Bridges.
In addition to her husband of twenty-five years, she is survived by a step son, James Edward Propst and his wife Tammy of Brandywine, WV; a sister, Joan (Bridges) Clark Pitsenbarger and her husband Ray of Staunton; a step brother, David Rowe and his wife Judy of Waynesboro; a step grandson, Tyler Austin Propst; special nephews, Ricky Glen Clark, Gregory Edward Clark, David A. Pitsenbarger and Gary M. Pitsenbarger; and a special cousin, Judith (Rimel) Edwards also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Daniel Wine.
Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Clark, Gregory Clark, David Pitsenbarger, Gary Pitsenbarger, Ron Daughtry and Raymond Shaner.
Honorary pallbearers will be special friends that cared for her during her illness.
The Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
