Hazel Lee (Grimm) Bryan Starnes, 83, formerly of 713 Augusta Avenue, was welcomed into her Heavenly Home by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Avante of Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Starnes was born on January 1, 1932 in Grottoes, a daughter of the late John Harvey and Mary Bell (McCallister) Grimm.

Hazel was a member of Grottoes Pentecostal Church, she loved to read her bible, she enjoyed singing in church and working puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Starnes was preceded in death by her first husband Elmer Bryan and second husband Robert E. Starnes, Jr.

Surviving is a son, Brian Starnes of Hinton, VA.; two brothers, Charles L. Grimm and Peter E. Grimm both of Waynesboro; three sisters, Evelyn G. Craig of MD, Maxine G. Martin and Gurline G. Morris both of Grottoes; and a grandson, Cosmo Starnes.

All services are private.
