Harry William Campbell, 39, husband of Angelia Lynn (Wingfield) Campbell of 262 Robertson Road, Craigsville, was called home to be with his
Lord Monday, June 14, 2010 in the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mr. Campbell was born in Staunton, Virginia on June 27, 1970, son of Forrest Sherwood, Jr. and Judith Marie (Bird) Campbell.
Harry worked for R.L. Flint, Inc. as a contractor, he attended the Joyful Sound Church, was a member of the Nights of the Round Table Jousting Club, was past state champion in jousting and attended Buffalo Gap High School. He enjoyed playing the guitar, the fiddle and he had a love for blue grass and gospel music. Outdoors, hiking and camping were his favorite pastimes. Harry had a great love for his family and friends, a man who could do anything with his hands and never met a stranger.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his first wife, Terry Lynn (Lindsay) Campbell, paternal grandfather, Forrest S. Pete Campbell, Sr. and maternal grandfather, Paul Q. Bird, Sr.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Churchville and his wife to whom he married in June 29, 2002 is a son, James S. Beverley, Jr. a daughter, Suzanne K. Susie Joy both of Craigsville; a step-son, Shawn Nuckoles of Buffalo Gap; maternal grandmother, Edith J. Bird of Churchville; paternal grandmother, Francis L. Campbell of Goshen; a brother, U.S. Air Force Capt. Forrest S. Campbell, III of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister and brother-in-law, Janice M. (Campbell) Troxell and her husband John of Craigsville; two nieces, Jordan McManaway and Haley A. Campbell and two nephews, R. Tyler McManaway and Dylan J. Campbell also survive. In addition to Harrys immediate family he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and his pet dog Skippy.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8:00 p.m in the Coffman Funeral Home \u0026 Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton or at the residence of his grandmother, Mrs. Edith J. Bird, 721 Buffalo Gap Highway, Churchville at other times.
Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be private.
In honoring his wishes and in the gift of love and giving, Mr. Harry Campbells organs were donated so that others may live.
