Harold "Hal" Lamar Trimner, 65, of Staunton VA went to sleep in death at his home on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. He was deeply loved by his wife of 44 years, Marilyn Jane Trimner, who was at his side.

Hal was born on March 6, 1947 in Americus, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen, his father John, and his son Michael.

He also leaves behind two sons, David J. Trimner (Shaunda) and Daniel J. Trimner (Brittaney). He had four grandchildren, Jacqueline, Ellis, Isabella, and Anja, with a fifth grandchild on the way; 2 brothers, Joe Trimner (Josephine) and Jim Trimner (Christina); one sister, Anne Steinitz (Bruce); one sister-in-law, Phyllis Osborne (Dick); one brother-in-law, Richard Kuhlman (Diane); In-laws Philip and Ellen Kuhlman; 8 nephews and nieces, Maya, Melissa, Rachel, Robert, Eric, Brian, Jessica, Michael, as well as their spouses and children; and his faithful dog, Rosie.

Hal was an active member of the North Staunton Congregation of Jehovah\u0027s Witnesses, where he set a fine example of faith, hope, and love. His greatest happiness was to sit and study the Bible with those who showed a love for the truth.

He was the owner of Trimner Home Improvement, and worked all across Augusta County for over 35 years, where he was known as a man of great strength, honesty, and integrity.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who look forward with joy to the day when God\u0027s promise of a resurrection of the dead will be fulfilled.

The family also wishes to thank Dr. Jamil and the wonderful nurses at the Hope Cancer Center for their care and support.

A memorial service will be held at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton VA on Saturday, May 26, at 2:00. The family will receive friends after the service, and at the family\u0027s home.
