Harold Eugene Coiner, 74, widower of Anna Marie (Shover) Coiner of 105 Beverley Court passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Coiner was born on August 8, 1943 in Staunton, a son of the late Elmer Warren and Myrtle (Desper) Coiner.
Harold retired in 2009 from McKee Foods in Stuarts Draft, and previously had been employed at General Electric / Genicom in Waynesboro for forty years. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents and wife of forty-nine years, Mr. Coiner was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Dawn Henson; a granddaughter, Andrea Mae Coiner; and a brother, Benjamin W. Coiner.
Surviving are two sons, Darwin H. Coiner and his wife Miranda of Verona and Michael D. Coiner of Staunton; two daughters, Julie C. Muse of Staunton and Pamela S. Watson of Verona; a sister, Fay C. Jennings of Madison Heights; ten grandchildren, Savannah Muse, Emily Bowling, Jessica Coiner, Tristan Coiner, Henley Coiner, Amber Smith, Trevin Coiner, Catelynn Coiner, Silas Asbury and Nickolai Asbury; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Bowling and Parker Snead; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Lay Minister Mardy Marston.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Dennis McLaughlin, Chris Jennings, Jeff Jennings, Russell Coiner, Stevie Hyden, Neal Coiner, Ryan Snead, and Carl Shover.
