Greta Marguerite (Broy) Lillard, 94, widow of Amiss Ross Lillard, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, October 26, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Lillard was born November 22, 1917 in Stephens City, a daughter of the late John Robert and Effie (Grim) Broy.

Greta was a member of Grace Bible Church, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. Prior to retiring from Western State Hospital where she worked as a nurses aide, Mrs. Lillard worked at Glen L. Martin Aviation in Baltimore, MD during World War II and later at Sears.

In addition to Mrs. Lillards husband to whom she was married for 55 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Garland Broy and Kirby Broy and a sister Anna Painter.

Survivors include two sons Paul Lillard and wife Sara of Virginia Beach and Ray Lillard and wife Kathy of Richmond; three daughters Joyce Shirkey and husband Allen of Staunton, Lois Fleming and husband Homer of Charlottesville and Kay Lillard and Ken Aleshire of Staunton; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Grace Bible Church, 77 Glover Circle, Staunton.

The family will receive friends 5:30-7:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday November 4, 2012 in Refuge United Methodist Church, Stephens City, VA by Rev. John Lock.

Burial will follow in Refuge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
