Mr. Wood was born on July 14, 1938 in Staunton, a son of the late Hugh T. and Thelma (Bailey) Wood.
Grayson graduated from Wilson Memorial High School, Class of 1955. He worked for Advance Auto for 22 years and worked for his brothers, the Statler Brothers for 25 years. He was blessed to have 30 years of hunting and fishing in Highland County with his son and friends, Wednesday nights with his poker group and enjoying making people smile with a laugh or a joke. Grayson loved his church and church family at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church and especially the hugs.
