Gracie Irene (Robertson) Conner, 66, wife of Homer Paul Conner, Jr. of 83 Pine Chapel Lane, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 in the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Mrs. Conner was born on October 20, 1950 in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, a daughter of the late Jesse McKinley and Eunice May (Sipe) Robertson.
Gracie was a member of Faith Worship Center where she enjoyed volunteering for numerous jobs and also teaching vacation Bible School. She was retired after 8 years from Redmill Manufacturers as a trimmer and prior to that she was employed for 10 years at Cromptons as a velvet cutter. Mrs. Conner enjoyed crafting, cooking, painting, singing, shopping, working Suduko puzzles, gifting to others, but most of all, spending time with her children and grand-children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary McKinley Robertson.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Timothy Conner and his wife Melinda of Raphine; a daughter, Angela Humphreys and her husband Buck of Raphine; three brothers, Frankie Robertson and his wife Becky of Stuarts Draft, Norwood P.G. Robertson of Lyndhurst, and Ray Robertson and his wife Jeannie of Greene County; a sister-in-law, Kay Robertson of Stuarts Draft; three grandchildren, Charity Vance and her husband Joseph, Zackary Conner, and Josh Keller; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Memphis and Evelyn also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of her daughter, Angie Humphreys, 144 South Bottom Rd., Raphine, Virginia 24472.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 in the Faith Worship Center by Pastor Dennis Bradley.
Burial will follow in Greenville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Zackary Conner, Bobby Bosserman, Ernie Conner, Jr., Tinker Conner, Joseph Vance and Johnny Humphreys.
