Gloria Jane (Griffin) Janie Rohrbaugh, 77, wife of John L. Rohrbaugh of 71 Rohrbaugh Lane passed away, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mrs. Rohrbaugh was born May 26, 1936 in Highland County, a daughter of the late Leslie Gray and Goldie Jane (Hamilton) Griffin.
Janie was a member of the Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church and had retired from Waynesboro Nurseries where she was the greenhouse manager. She loved hosting her family for the holidays, reunions and for any occasion. She loved working in her flower garden, watching birds, cooking and making jelly.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rohrbaugh was preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Davis; nine brothers, Walter Griffin, Roy Griffin, Clyde Griffin, Brooks Griffin, Willis Griffin, Hubert Griffin, Denny Griffin, Ralph Griffin and Stanley Griffin; and four sisters, Edna McLaughlin, Charlotte Whitesell, Jean McLaughlin and Velma Fitzgerald.
Surviving in addition to her husband of fifty-two years, are two sons, Tracy L. Butch Rohrbaugh and his wife Renee of Greenville and Walton D. Rohrbaugh of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Teresa L. Davis and her husband Louis of Waynesboro and Gina L. Cash and her husband Richard of Crimora; a brother, William L. Griffin of Andalusia, AL; four grandchildren, Carrie Davis, Kyle Cash, Peyton Rohrbaugh and Casey Cash; a great-grandson, Spencer Quick; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 in the Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church by Rev. Charles Ramsey and Rev. Brett Perrett.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
Active pallbearers will be Buckie Fitzgerald, Kyle Cash, Casey Cash, David Whitesell, Ralph Griffin, Jr. and Don Cullen.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, Virginia is in charge of her arrangements.
