Gloria Jean (Phillips) Allen, 71, widow of Kennan Wilson Allen, of Cold Springs Road in Raphine passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Allen was born on September 9, 1950 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Lawrence Wallace and Evelyn Lucille (Brooks) Phillips.
Mrs. Allen was a member of New Covenant Church and was self- employed. Gloria enjoyed reading her bible, spending time with her family and working in her flowers. She also had a collection of butterflies and angels.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gerald Staton; a brother-in-law, Rev. Don Cash; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Jean (Fauber) Phillips.
Surviving is a son, Anthony L. Allen of Raphine; two daughters, Priscilla J. Staton of Stuarts Draft and Penny K. Moore of Raphine; three brothers, Lawrence "Euley" Phillips, Lenny Phillips and wife Linda, and Troy Phillips all of Vesuvius; two sisters, Shirley Cash of Raphine and Marlene Phillips of Stuarts Draft; three grandchildren, Jacob Moore and wife Ali, Chase Staton, and Jennifer Moore; three great grandchildren, Kayden Moore, Levi Staton and Quentin Moore; and one expected great granddaughter; a brother-in-law, Lewis Allen of Buena Vista; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Allen and Wanda Allen of Raphine; a special friend, Callie Reese; a special niece, Cindy Truslow and her son Dustin Cash; a special nephew, David Cash also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Fred Salmons and Pastor John Ward.
Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be her brothers, "Euley" Phillips, Troy Phillips, Lenny Phillips, and Jacob Moore, Chase Staton, Dustin Cash, Ron Moore and Jordan Taylor.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tennessee, 38105-1942.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
