Gloria Ellen (Fitzgerald) Gibson, 82, widow of Jim Henry Gibson,
passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Gibson was born on August 23, 1935 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Russell Brown and Reatha Etta (Fitzgerald) Fitzgerald.
Gloria was the owner/operator of GMM Associates (Gloria Gibson Accounting) for sixty-five years. She enjoyed her career as an accountant and had a deep love and respect for all of her clients.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by a daughter, Godiva Taylor; a son, Tommy Fitzgerald, Sr.; a brother, Billy R. Fitzgerald; and a sister, Frances Beatrice Oxendine.
Surviving are three sons, Elmer Fitzgerald, Jr., Eddie Fitzgerald, and Jack Fitzgerald; a daughter, Leigh Eskie Marvec and husband George; a sister, Margie F. Fields; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Augusta Memorial Park by Denny Grady and Pastor Mark Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Glorias memory, to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
